Basic reception: welcome, timeout and follow invite
Three automations that work without any AI: greet buyers on arrival, follow up when someone has waited too long, and send a follow invite in one click. All free, none consuming AI credit.
Welcome message
When a buyer sends the first message in a conversation and there has been no reply at all before, the system sends the welcome message once.
- The switch and the text are configured per shop;
- Batch apply: select several shops and write the same text at once (only the welcome text changes; each shop keeps its own timeout settings);
- It fires once per conversation — no repeated greetings.
The welcome message and the AI do not conflict, so keep both on: the greeting guarantees an instant response, the AI handles the substance.
Timeout reply
The system scans periodically: if the buyer's latest message has waited longer than your threshold with no reply from anyone (human or AI), it sends a holding message such as we have received your message and are looking into it.
- Defaults to 5 minutes, configurable from 1 to 1440;
- Configured per shop;
- Only fires while the buyer is genuinely waiting — if anyone has replied, nothing is sent.
Follow invite
This one is manual and never fires on its own. Configure an image and/or a text per shop (either alone is fine), then use the Follow invite button in the chat toolbar to send it to the buyer (image first, then text, as separate messages).
For shops with nothing configured, the toolbar button will tell you the invite is not set up.
How these sends are accounted for
Welcome messages and timeout replies consume no AI credit and are not billed — same as translation.
In the workbench they carry the automatic-send badge. Internally the system flags them as machine-sent, so the AI's human-handover silence is not triggered by mistake — a welcome message will not make the AI think an agent took over.
